i agree Bill Rodgers is a fine man on and off the road races. I met him twice in the NYC marathon in 98 and 99 and he remembered the day i met him earlier back in my country (philippines) when he visited in 1982 to grace our inaugural manila marathon. I approached him in the hotel lobby where he was billeted and asked for his autograph. I have been running since 1980 and up to now I am fit for a marathon.

  12. I am running the Charlottesville marathon (my 3rd) on Saturday and I am listening to Mr Rodgers for a tad of inspiration. What a legend he is!
