Will my jogging routine increase my running endurance?

Question from bobbylololololol
I’m jogging for three miles at about 4.1 miles per hour every other day. I need to run two miles at 8.7 miles per hour for a fitness test. I have about a month to prepare. Will this routine help me to do it?

If your looking to get speedier at a distance race such as two miles, you need to increase endurance and stamina. I suggest running one day per week of a longer run 5-6 miles at a very comfortable pace and one day a week running “pick-up” intervals that are much shorter than the 2-miles. Try a 30 minute run with 5-6 x 30 second intervals of faster running in the middle with 30 seconds slow jog rest between each one. Take at least 2 days off of running all together to allow your body to recover. Take more days off and run super easy the week before you are required to do your race.
