		<description>it really depends on if you&#039;re a slow or fast starter. at varsity level, 2 weeks isn&#039;t gonna do much if you don&#039;t gorge yourself on food every day. and you never really lose speed, you&#039;ll just lose some endurance</description>

By the end of the second week you are looking at about a 2-5% decrease in fitness you have gained during that time.

If you want to avoid this loss in fitness just do 2 maintenance runs once per week. (3-6 miles depending on your ability at tempo pace.)</description>
