Cats drinking Propel Fitness Water, is it safe?
Posted on Jan 15, 2010 with Comments 8
This may be a bit bizarre.
After allowing my cats to try a sip of my Propel Fitness Water, they come running from across the room when they see the blue water bottle and won’t leave me alone until I share some Propel with them.
My question is: Is it safe to share Propel with my cats?
Ingredients, as listed on the back of the bottle: Water, sucrose syrup, citric acid, natural flavors, sodium citrate, potassium citrate, sucralose, vitamin C (ascorbic acid), vitamin E acetate, niacinamide (vitamin B3), calcium disodium EDTA (protects freshness), calcium pantothenate (vitamin B5), pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), acesulfame potassium, vitamin B12.

my cat eats everything and anything and he is fine
give them water
I’m not even sure the Propel is safe for HUMANS. I mean, the sucrose syrup and the sucralose are both pure sugar, not to mention all the chemicals in it. The cats like it because of the sugar, I’m sure…but trust me, that stuff isn’t even keeping YOU in good health, let alone the cats. Those many chemicals aren’t good for anyone! Plain water is always best for everyone.
I think you need to do an “Intervention” and save the cats lives. It might start as a funny activity to watch but, I would stop it now before the cats start steeling to support the habit.
actually artificial sweeteners cause acute liver failuer in cats and dogs…..
sure its good for you all that is their is water i mean they eat rats for crying out loud
No it is not safe for them to drink. Plan old tap water or even bottled water is all that they should ever drink.
You might be harming them please discontinue use.
it’s the sugar it hits their blood stream and they get a rush that much sugar can’t be good for their teeth.
might not be a good idea to give it to them again.
