These shoes hold up well under a lot of mileage. They are expensive but well worth it.

I have had these shoes for two months and have found them to be very comfortable. I also like that they keep my feet dry and have good cushioning.

Well, starting off 50Lbs heavier than I am today, I originally purchased the Asics Nimbus 10. These we're great for what I needed at the time as they we're reviewed as a great shoe for heavier runners and they we're right. Now, as my Nimbus begin to age, I started looking for something a little more versatile. I never tried on the Kayano 15 up until 1 week ago, I also tried the Nimbus 11's, they we're like apples to oranges, as soon as my foot slid in the the Kayanos, it was like I had on down pillows and not runners, even compared to the Nimbus 11, these were much more comfortable and a nice snug fit off the bat.

So, here was the real test, I put them on yesterday and took a little 5 mile run... wow. They we're very stable, plush, yet firm and of course, there doesn't seem to be a break in time, at least not for me, I can only assume they will become more comfortable as they conform to my foot shape also.

I have to tell you, I was hesitant to spend the $130+ on a new show after shelling out $120+ the year earlier, but, honestly, I don't regret it, and I don't think others would either. I noticed other reviews we're basically all positive, so, we can't all be wrong.

Good running!

Just as a side note: I chose the Gel runners over the air and springs that Nike have as I have destroyed the springs and popped the air. (3 nikes in 1 year)

I still like the Nikes, but they are just not for me.

When i wear these bad boys its almost like walking on a bowl of sugar free jello. the cushioning effect is that unlike any shoe I have ever worn. I run 20+ miles a week and these shoes make it so much easier on my ankles and knees. The gel cushioning technology dissipates the shock horizontally to other parts of your feet instead of vertically directly to the heel.

I have run in Kayanos for the past 5 years, and each year I nervously try the new model only to find it is as good if not better than the last. I read quite a few reviews for the Kayano 15 and I was more nervous than ususal because there were a few comments about a new feel, the effect of the different lacing pattern on the toe box, etc. I have now been running in 15s for the past few months and I can safely say that for me these shoes are as good if not better than the 14s. I have not noticed any discomfort, and this shoe seems to fit me just a bit better than the 14s. A shoe review is certainly subjective, and no shoe seems to fit everyone the same way, but I'm 6'0" and 195 and I run moderate distances on a weekly basis and the fit and stability of the Kayano 15 has been perfect for me. I just hope I can say the same for the 16s when I need to replace my 15s later this year!

Update (9-4-09) Just a brief update. I can confirm my earlier comments and recommendation for the 15. The shoe has worn very well, and I never experienced any issues with them. I increased my mileage over the past couple months (training for marathon) so I can report that they are just as effective for me at short distances as they are for long.

After much research I ordered these running shoes. I'm glad I did. They have the best shock absorption of any shoes I have ever owned. Great arch support, perfect for Plantar fasciitis. I use them for running (a couple miles). I don't feel any shock in my knees as my feet hit the ground, and my feet feel great after a run. I also wear them to work where I am on my feet all day. My feet have never been happier! I'll keep ordering these as long as they keep making them.

I have wide feet and for once these shoes were comfortable and didn't rub at all. They are super comfy and I could wear them immediately - no blisters.

This shoe has a nice, wide toe box and great support. It's made walking enjoyable again. This is my second pair as I wore the other ones out. Mesh top is strong and does not rip and insole gives good support.Very light weight and comfortable.

Great support and plenty of space for my wide foot. I am training for a half marathon and was having problems with my feet from using a shoe with inadequate support. This shoe has aleviated the pain and made my training much more enjoyable. I will not be using another type of shoe.

These shoes rock! The ProGrid Ride has definately improved my IT band pain that I used to experience with running long distances. If you have trouble with supination when you run (rolling to the outside of your foot) these are a great pair of shoes for you.
